South African soprano Amanda Echalaz has appeared at leading opera houses across the world, including the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Sydney Opera House. Recent schedule highlights include performances of her signature roles, Puccini’s Tosca, at the Semperoper Dresden, Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, and as Lucia in The Exterminating Angel at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and The Metropolitan Opera.
Most recently, she made a role debut at The Santa Fe Opera as Ariadne in Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos. Future seasons include a return to Semperoper Dresden as Tosca, and her debut at Grange Park Opera in Ponchielli's La Gioconda.
